DVD/Video Compilations
CCTV evidence, mobile phone footage and even 'Dashcam' footage can be presented in a single case. Watching multiple cameras using multiple devices can be difficult and time consuming and is the staple diet of the Forensic CCTV Expert and Imagery Expert Witness.
Creating a DVD or Video complication using Exhibited material can collate this evidence into one viewable format whilst maintaining the Quality and Authenticity of the digital evidence. Unfortunately with the continued use of free editing software and time restrictions of court cases it is very much common practice for evidence to be presented in a format that is not a true representation of events or quality.
We always therefore advise that no matter how poor or totally mind blowing the presentation is, that the original or Raw data is viewed first and foremost.
Video Presentation can include:
-
Tracking of an individual using markers/overlays.
-
Video enhancement (where possible).
Booklets of Imagery | Jury Booklets
A moving video is comprised of frames or pictures - a frame is comprised of two fields. So presenting evidence in a frame by frame format can be extremely time consuming, not every frame has value but it only takes one single frame to turn a case around.
Imagery booklets or Jury booklets are an excellent way to reproduce key events from large amounts CCTV footage. These single frame images can be annotated with important observations that assist the Court in understanding relevant material and or actions.
We produce all our own material so to save on the cost of printing which can be prohibitive.
Video Reconstructions | 3d Modelling
Video reconstructions can be an excellent tool in presenting findings and accurate representation to the Court.
These presentations can range from videos using high definition cameras, helmet or head mounted cameras, vehicle mounted cameras or even drone overhead video's.
We can also offer a 3d modelling (via our partners) service which can be extremely useful when understanding proportions or space for small scenes or larger scenes.
Technology is developing rapidly in this market and sooner or later will become common practice, no longer must the Court rely on dated video tape.
